Highly wanted in Eorzea, Cierra Dorne has fled to Tural while pursued by a coalition of Doman and Eorzean authorities assisted by bounty hunters, mercenaries and adventurers.Once an orphan adopted into a family of royal shinobi in Doma, Cierra Dorne was instrumental in the Garlean invasion of Doma and labeled a traitor to her homeland. Once a Warrior of light, Hydaelyn abandoned Cierra for assisting in her own peoples' subjugation and suffering; after losing the Blessing of Light Cierra turned to her Garlean allies to replace it, willingly becoming one of the first Resonants.While she was well rewarded for her loyalty by Garlemald while stationed in occupied Doma, she was pursued by Doman authorities following the liberation. Fleeing her homeland to Garlemald, Cierra made a new name for herself in hiding as the prostitute "Xochiquetzal", named after a Turali Goddess of beauty, love, flowers and fertility. She quickly ascended from common street whore to high class escort, overwhelmingly sought by high ranking members of Garlean Parliament who Cierra would then often blackmail and manipulate for her own ends.It was in this period of her life after Hydaelyn had disowned her that Cierra made contact with the Lightwarden Bavel; among the most powerful in existence, somehow still sane and sheltered in the Empty, Bavel recognized a hunger inside Cierra to become greater than the Gods themselves, a hunger Bavel had once felt it herself as an "ordinary mortal". The mysterious Bavel offered the girl a pact, the terms of which are never to be spoken, but one easily observed effect of this pact is an incredibly slow aging process; one year of Cierra's life is a decade to the normal Miqo'te. Contrary to what one might immediately assume, Cierra speaks very highly of Bavel, seeing her as a mentor and guide in life - what the pair's goals are remains a mystery to everyone but them.At Bavel's urging and with her guidance Cierra wormed her way into the Resonant program despite her very open disgust for Zenos, cutting many deals and cashing in many favors for what was seen by Garlemald as a desperate attempt to replace the power they now knew Hydaelyn had taken from her, eventually acknowledging that her many years of service to Garlemald combined with her decent chance of survival made her a viable candidate and ultimately selected her for the program, which was successful; For the rest of her time in Garlemald, Zenos delighted in reminding her that it was not her precious Gaius that had given her the power to cheat death again, rather the man she still despised so deeply.Following Zenos yae Galvus' ascent to the throne, Xochiquetzal began exercising her influence; it was no secret she did not like Zenos even before he seized the throne, including to the man himself, but to openly challenge the now Emperor would be suicide and likely by Zenos' hand itself. Instead she sowed the seeds of discord, remaining in the shadows as much as possible to avoid drawing Zenos' incredibly attentive gaze - that however, proved to be too great a task even for her and after being confronted about her resistance by Zenos himself, Cierra knew she was living in Garlemald on borrowed time.Though she had never wanted to venture into Eorzean soil, she now found herself between a rock and a hard place; her allies could only hide her inside Garlemald for so long and Doman authorities would hunt her down the moment they learned she'd left - but finally, after many close calls with Zenos loyalists, Cierra made the decision to leave Garlemald. She did so in the twilight hours of the morning without informing anyone, when few souls were about; Doman Shinobis are only seen when they want to be, the few people out that morning never even knew she had walked past them.Though the journey was long, she was in a rush; she knew the instant Zenos learned of her escape he'd be after her with the Domans not far behind once the spies reported in. She felt a strange sense of relief when the lushness of the shroud began to take shape on the horizon, never having thought the idea of being in Eorzea would one day bring her comfort. Fortunately for her it's quite easy to blend in as an adventurer in Eorzea and the trip to Limsa went without incident; few had heard of the Doman traitor this far from her homeland and those that had never expected her to leave Garlemald after so many years.Limsa served as a temporary home to Cierra but she knew she couldn't afford to linger; she was looking for a ship to Tural, a land across the sea that would make it very difficult for her past to catch up with her - unfortunately the next ship was a week out from departure and she estimated it would take three days for the Domans to catch up, knowing the Garleans would likely just brand her a traitor and be done with it while the Domans wanted her head, whatever the cost.Her knowledge of them proved to be true, her "Spymaster" Tomoki observing two Domans in the city asking around about other Domans in Limsa precisely 3 days later; Tomoki herself was a Doman traitor who followed Cierra even before she chose her path, serving as an unwaiveringly loyal minion for Cierra's plans so reliably that Cierra doesn't even have to ask if she was successful anymore. It was for this reason however that Tomoki knew she'd be recognized as well, instead slipping away and making a show of being a Doman to others in Limsa with a fake name and a fake route out of the city, hoping to throw them far off the scent and shadow the duo while they chased the goose.Tomoki learned many things about their investigators in the following 48 hours of surveillance; the pair were Ikari and Seijaku, two orphans out of the many whose parents were killed in the invasion - Ikari specifically seemed to blame Cierra for her parents' deaths from what little Tomoki could gather, multiple informants describing the small Raen's visible hatred when describing their target while Seijaku seemed so calm and relaxed that many wondered if she cared about this at all. Despite contrasting personalities the two seemed to be close friends, working in a symbiotic fashion that heavily reminded Tomoki of her own bond with Cierra. In her opinion Ikari seemed easy to manipulate, her hot-headed personality made her quickly jump to poorly thought out actions while Seijaku's much cooler head and careful approach to life made her the much bigger threat to them.It was after those 48 hours that the investigators came to the conclusion they'd been misled, immediately heading back to Limsa to pursue their other leads quickly. Tomoki was barely able to stay ahead of Ikari's furious pace, growing convinced that she had been sighted by Seijaku in her haste - it was hard to fool another shinobi and Seijaku's extremely careful attention compared to most Tomoki had known made it a near certainty she had revealed herself, growing very aware of it as she noticed Seijaku breaking from Ikari's side in Limsa and slipping into the shadows behind her.However, Tomoki also knew that she was not needed in Tural immediately; having drawn all of Seijaku's attention she was now in the perfect position to act as the "goose" for this chase until Cierra is safely headed towards Tural, dropping fake hints to her spies on Cierra's location while her tail was within earshot - to Tomoki's surprise Seijaku did not take the bait, probably realizing that her best chance to actually find Cierra was to simply tail Tomoki and not get distracted by all the bait Tomoki was tossing out. For the rest of the time until the ship departed Tomoki and Seijaku played a game of cat and mouse around Limsa, both keenly aware that the other knew of their presence but both also wishing to avoid direct confrontation inside the city.Finally the week had passed and the ship was scheduled for departure in the early hours of the morning - Tomoki's performance had come to the final act, drawing both Ikari and Seijaku to a corner of Limsa and engaging them in open combat for the first time while Cierra prepared to board, noting immediately that Ikari's skill with a katana was far greater than any Doman she'd ever known; it was due to severely underestimating Ikari's skills that Tomoki was quickly overpowered by the duo, Seijaku remaining behind to keep her attentive gaze on their slippery new captive while sending Ikari to scour the city, the plan to use Tomoki as a distraction to cover Cierra's escape painfully obvious to the other shinobi - it was clear to her that the two were desperate for the escape they'd plotted and knew they were forced in a corner, now would be the best chance to catch them in their haste.Unfortunately for the hunters Ikari arrived at the harbor moments too late, only able to watch Cierra stand on the deck of the ship as it drifted out to sea, Cierra's violet eyes catching the furious samurai staring after the boat on the edge of the dock and offering her a smug grin as if to say "you almost had me", only infuriating Ikari more. After letting her anger subside Ikari returned to Seijaku, the two hunters preparing to escort Tomoki back to Doma to be punished for her crimes while informing their superiors and regrouping for the new challenge of crossing the sea to pursue Cierra.Cierra wasn't worried about Tomoki in the slightest, not because she didn't care about her childhood friend but rather because she trusted her skills so highly; Tomoki had been caught many times before in the same fashion, the girl was as good as slipping out of containment as Cierra and is often overlooked for being in Cierra's shadow, which she knew how to use to her advantage. The trip across the sea to Tural was uneventful, the ship she booked passage on was a merchant vessel carrying cargo and crew, they had simply agreed when she offered them a decent sum of money for passage on the ship - it was always amazing to Cierra what you could get lalafell merchants to agree to when just a little gil got involved and this deal had been no different.While knowing her past would eventually follow her, Cierra was determined to enjoy her fresh start while she had it; sampling the local food, taking in the beautiful scenery and getting to know the charming locals made Cierra fell in love with Tural during her time in the city, noting to herself that she had not ever felt this at home in Doma or Garlemald - she did not feel the disdain she had felt when fleeing to Eorzea for her own safety either, this simply felt like home to her, a realization that quickly brought her to tears if she allowed herself to dwell on it.(continuing later sorry if you see this before I do I need a break tho)

I appreciate you coming to my OOC section to get to know me better!I'm a 28 year old trans woman who has been playing Final Fantasy XIV religiously since around patch 2.3; I vividly remember World of Darkness was the first duty I ran on release, but I had to get to max level first! I'll never forget the memories of farming fates in North Thanalan and spamming first room Dzemael Darkhold to reach 50 - and yes, all my friends do call me grandma, I'm definitely that person who is always telling stories about XIV's history but I also love where the game is today.Originally I leveled monk however I very quickly fell in love with bard instead, maining it for the rest of ARR - after bards became casters in HW I changed my main DPS to ninja since I hated the caster bard and had always kept ninja as my melee since it accessories with my bard; these days I am a scouting DPS main, I really struggle to pick between viper or ninja as my favorite because I like them both for different reasons and play them both at 100 but I also play bard, gunbreaker, sage and have played everything to at least 50 and generally much higher except for black mage really - sorry black mage fans, it's just never clicked for me, I'm way more of a red mage player.I've also always been a writer, a roleplayer and a very horny person; I could not even give you a guess at how long I've been ERPing but I can confidently say it's been over a decade and I've not gotten tired of it yet - I just love to write and be lewd! I'm also beginning to branch out into writing smut, I've opened an AO3 account but I'm just so busy these days that I don't have the time to sit down and write pieces to post so it's on the backburner for now unfortunately, but I'll definitely be getting to it!Despite being allowed to play with others with limitations for my partner's comfort (please respect them) I am very happily taken; my partner Lilly is amazing, perfect and you will never take me from her!
